Computer Virus

I had forgotten the last time I used an anti-virus software, but I did it last morning, since I am sure my operating system got some malicious javascript code and was added some damned start-up program.

When I turned on it, Windows XP will show me a notification "Your computer is under a critical risk! We detected...", whatever. However, because of I know Windows XP very well, I realized that is not a standard form of virus notification of Windows XP, and then check the task manager. Gosh! There was really few task name I had never seen them, "ishost.exe", "issearch.exe" and "ismini.exe". I did try delete them and remove them from my start-up list of oprating system of course, but it seems not useful after three times trying.

Next, I used Ad-Award SE Professional (Lavasoft) to scan all the system, everywhere you could imagine. What do you think happened later? It must hide a perfect place or sneak into the a important system file, so that I could only detect or remove its copies but leave the master safe.

I gave up after the hours of fighting, and formated the system hard driver, the ultimate operation. /sinisterly laugh. Additionally, before I formated the system, I took a little peek of the virus, and was surprised that it links to a company website which sell an anti-virus software. Well, leaving the jural laws aside, I think that will be a greatly convincing advertisement.
