Does Google become our enemy?

Since the great success of Google did at the last years, you may have a question, "Will Google take over the world?". Like the quote I like to use, "The one control the information, control the world". I believe that Google will control the world if no one could contend with it, but who know? Nobody could affirm it's impossible someone find out a better algorithm to manage computer information like Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who began Google from 1996.

I discovered someone has the same idea as mine! However, Google doesn't seem to be too harsh like an autocrat so far, does it?

And then I blocked her.

Besides, I found there're many experiences like this happend on the others. What worse is - most of them don't really want to arrange a sexual service but a fraud instead.

Windows Vista Advertisement

Another Windows Vista advertisement! Seems too resplendent. I'm not really showing it off.

Super Size Me

Super size, super size

The American way

Going down, throwing down

All day, every day

Originate from the Super Size Me soundtrack

Ho! God really bless American, however, in fatting way. This is a video (what you see above is a trailer) that our Food and Health teacher showed me this morning. You may already hear about how fast foods make people fatter and fatter, and tried to avoid them. Morgan Spurlock is the one who did an anthrop-experiment on hisself - eating of McDonald's for total one month! How difficult to image it! Anyway, do you know what happen on him? He almost die! Thanks to it's only an one-month period.

In fact, it's not only fast foods but any unhealthy unbalanced diet will cause us ill. To help us to avoid health problem, we should know nothing but the knowledge about those foods we eat everyday. Do you know what calorie is? Half of American don't!

The Crucial Crisis of Taiwanese's Knowledge

Sharing you a nice video report about the visious news agencies in Taiwan. The program was made by a television station which operates by government budget of nine million dollars per year, broadcasting lots of high-quality TV programs to public for free.

Recording Viewpoint - Monsters in News Agencies (by PTS)

Note that it uses Chinese and no English subtitle. So if you don't know Chinese, skip this. But if you do, you can't miss it.

Cold

At 7:42 this moring, the sky was still dark. It was so cold in my room that I cannot help but trembling. Before eating the breakfast, I should be going to take my coat...

Windows Vista

One week ago, my computer was broken! There were must some shorts on it and caused the main board couldn't transmit power properly. I even have no idea to fix the error at all. Anyway, Dad gave me money to buy some new components of computer. A new main board, a new power supply, a new CPU, two new memory cards - definitely, it should be considered as a new computer. At the same time, however, I didn't know if there's a coincidence that I got Windows Vista in hand, the release to manufacturing (RTM), so that I could install the newest operating system platform on the new computer.

Windows Vista is practically gorgeous. Yes, it is. You can see a great quality of visual effect on Windows explorer, if your computer is powerful enough.

My "Vista System Rating", a value that show how the grade the computer is, got 3.0 of 5, the medium. Well, I expected it'd get greater than 4.0 at least, but changed my attitude after experiencing the power Vista is.

Here are some snapshots for you guys interested in Windows Vista. By the way, they're the appearance under about rating one only, because I don't want my computer getting into high-workload state frequently. So, in other word, you may get more surprise after experiencing by yourself.

Another Seven Days Passed

Good day, every my dear readers. Mason was very busy on these seven days and may continue bustling until next week.

The last Wednesday, I was preparing a discrete math test on the Thursday. My effort at that night was requited, I felt relaxed on test.

On the weekend, I engaged in a public affair on this major election in a booth. My job is sending the ticket to the one who had passed examination, it's a bit boring and tedious, and doesn't appeal to me. However, the pay was fine - fifty dollars a day, let me feel much better. There's another electoral activity this Saturday. I have also signed it up, and my superior promise me for a more advanced job.

Between the fragmentary leisure, I worked hard on my Algorithm homework. It's the most difficult programming problem I've even made. I was enjoyed on it but neglected my dear blog and left lots of unread articles on my Google Reader.

Don't expect I'll make so many articles for the last few days, an important test is waiting me on this Thursday. You know I'm worried about my graduation, and you don't want me to spend another year in college, do you?

Transition of the Fate

Shock! Dad sent me a mail contained fearful information - the score of GEPT. I followed the link tensely.

Gosh! Oh no, I didn't pass it. I got 62 on writing and 70 on oral, ant it's even worse than the last time, although I believed I'll get better.

Whatever, it really beat me greatly, I was wondering whether I can graguate in the next two years. If not, we shall pay another $3000 per year, so that the US government won't cancel my green card. Gosh~ All of these are caused by me, and I must shoulder the responsibility.

It's time to think about how rescue all of these, but not blame someone or something.

Violation of the Laws

I saw an astonishing news that a police killed a student accused of robbing Sony PlayStation 3.

I know the point of this news doesn't focus on the effect of PlayStation, but I must show my thought about how absurd to violate other's property. Clearly, any violations of laws are unwise.

Crime Scene Investigation

This weekend, under the pressure of the test on Tuesday, I still watched few TV episodes as recreation.

The programs called Crime Scene Investigation, you may hear about it, because it makes a small furor in the US, friendly and hostile. However, if you like the sciences, you can't miss it.

This is the leader of the many CSI characters, Gil Grissom, and my favorite one. He always persistes in the evidence, never letting his feeling boss his judgement, and that may be the reason why he is the head investigator. Taiwan really need someone have this capability.
